ABORTIONS at home were authorised as a temporary measure last March during the early part of the coronavirus alert. The governments in England, Scotland and Wales are now considering whether to make permanent the system by which abortion pills can be obtained by post. It is not necessary to see a doctor in person – even if you can do so. Campaigners say ‘DIY’ abortion can lead to coercion and medical problems
