A MATURE student is facing disciplinary action after saying that women are born with female genitals and the difference in physical strength between men and women is a fact.

Lisa Keogh, 29, who is studying law at Abertay University, Dundee, made the remarks in an online discussion on transgender issues. Classmates complained to staff and now Ms Keogh faces a formal inquiry for alleged ‘offensive’ and ‘discriminatory’ comments. She fears the university will withhold her degree.

The university is suggesting that it is not just what Ms Keogh said that is being investigated but ‘the way in which it was said’.
