Today’s talking point

-

ACCORDING to the Times, Britain is heading for two ‘big’ weeks of vaccination as the campaign is opened to everyone over 30. The paper, like all the MSM completely uncritical of the government’s irrational and destructive policies, opines that the expected record-breaking vaccination numbers are ‘boosting hopes that immunisation can stay ahead of the Indian variant and allow restrictions to end next month’.

You have to hand it to the government. Their campaign, straight from the George Orwell Public Control Handbook (1984 edn), has been a great success. Over the last few weeks every alternate day has brought either a threat of keeping restrictions going or a hint that if we behave ourselves we will be let out on June 21. Our guess is that when the day comes there will still be plenty of pointless restrictions but we will be made to feel deeply grateful to our generous leaders for the crumbs they have given us. It is classic psy ops, not in the least subtle, and it is shocking how easily it has turned the vast majority of the population into eager-to-please mask-wearing drones.

Meanwhile Johnson and co are offering the bribe of conditional freedom to young people to take a vaccine they don’t need and that for a certainty will leave several of the age group ill or dead. It’s evil.
