AT least 30 Tory MPs, including former Prime Minister Teresa May, are rebelling over government cuts to foreign aid.
Ministers have cut this year’s aid budget from 0.7 per cent of gross national income to 0.5 per cent, a reduction of about £4billion, as they struggle to cope with debt caused by their Covid-19 policies.
The best help the Third World could get would be for the West to end all lockdowns (and persuade the rest of the world to do the same) and make China pay reparations to developing countries most hurt by the virus which was almost certainly engineered in their laboratories.
