ALMOST 3,000 local authority staff were paid more than £100,000 during the pandemic in 1920/21, according to figures released by the Taxpayers’ Alliance today.
Talk about money for old rope. This at a time of lockdown when swimming pools were closed, libraries placed out of bounds and countless local services shut down.
