Today’s talking point: Are MPs any more than lobby fodder now?

UNLESS something amazing happens, MPs will vote today for the new English lockdown and the disproportionate distress, disruption and ruination it entails.

Once again, as generally throughout the nine months of the pandemic, law is being made by decree and rammed through a compliant, rubber-stamping Parliament.

Are MPs content to sit by on full pay while Government policy puts the country through its gravest crisis of modern times? Is there any hope of any of them taking a principled stand and opposing Lockdown Three? Discuss!
