A senior Scotland Yard officer faces an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct for using the phrase ‘whiter than white’.
Sources said the detective superintendent was addressing colleagues in Scotland Yard’s anti-corruption squad about the need to be faultless and above reproach. The job of this squad is to expose corruption, not to be looking over their shoulder all the time, fearful of offending.
The person who made the accusation should be have been told to grow up since he or she is obviously not suited for a tough environment. No doubt that person will, in due course, claim compensation for being ‘forced out of the job I love by racist remarks’.
I suggest the public use the phrase ‘whiter than white’ at every opportunity.
