AS A Brummie, I look enviously at the plethora of anti-lockdown mayoral candidates in the capital. Londoners are spoilt for choice and their anti-lockdown, anti-vaccine passport candidates are getting the message out loud and clear that a vote for them is a vote against the tyranny we are currently experiencing.
But for the rest of the country with no high-profile candidates, it’s easy to think today’s local and mayoral elections are irrelevant.
They are not.
Although we may not have the choices of London, most of us will find on our ballots a candidate for a party that is anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine passports.
The danger is that outside London people who want to stand up to the tyranny of lockdowns and vaccine passports will not turn out to vote and even if they do, they won’t know who to vote for.
It is imperative that we get the message out to the rest of the country that there are various parties against lockdown and vaccine passports.
There may be others but certainly Reform, Freedom Alliance (95 candidates in England, listed here, 40 in Scotland and 21 in Wales), Heritage (38 candidates, listed here) , Reclaim and UKIP are all standing against this tyranny.
I’ve heard people argue that local elections don’t matter or that voting for someone on one issue alone is ridiculous. At this moment in our history there is nothing more important than standing up against lockdowns and health apartheid, and every vote for one of these parties sends a message that we do not consent.
It is easy to lie about protests (especially when the BBC doesn’t even cover one of the biggest protests London has ever had), it is easy to ignore parliamentary petitions, but votes will be counted.
Make yours count.
It will help dictate the next few years, if not decades, of our lives.
