Vallance, the uniparty and the great betrayal of public health

IN LATE 2020, I was drawn to come out of retirement as a medical journalist on seeing covid being mishandled in much the same way as ‘HIV’/Aids in the 1980s, when claims that all sexually active people were at risk brought in hundreds of billions globally for research and treatment. Eventually it became clear that Aids was remaining confined to specific groups of people with immune system damage unrelated to a deadly new virus, and the abject failure of the predictions was quietly forgotten. But the money tree continued to be shaken, especially in the US, and those responsible for maintaining the flow of taxpayer cash stayed in high office. Even today, criticism of the ‘lethal virus’ theory of Aids is vigorously censored within the scientific world.

A similar process of damage control is under way with regard to covid. Sir Patrick Vallance’s appointment as Minister of Science in Sir Keir Starmer’s new government, despite his string of covid failures as chief scientific adviser under the Conservatives, is a case in point.

It is also a classic example of the ‘uniparty’ phenomenon afflicting the UK, in which politics seems increasingly dominated by multinational corporate agendas and globalist ideologies. What is the point of a general election if it simply gives rise to more of the same?

The NHS has long been a marketing arm for drugs and vaccines, with genuine health promotion receiving a tiny proportion of the £200billion annual budget. We saw its ‘Big Brother’ capacity nakedly revealed during covid, when health professionals, as well as the public, were put under disgraceful pressure to accept the experimental jab – one of the reasons why absenteeism in the NHS is currently so high, and morale so low.

The pharmaceutical industry, however, is a big earner, not just for its shareholders but for the country. Vallance, as a GlaxoSmithKline man, has played a part in helping to position the UK as a global hub within the industry.

But should politicians be putting the health of the drug industry before the health of citizens? And trusting wealthy technocrats to have the best interests of people in mind?

Yesterday Sonia Elijah powerfully encapsulated the major errors over which Vallance presided. Her article echoed the detailed accounts last April by TCW’s Paula Jardine (see herehere and here) of how Vallance, Bill Gates and Jeremy Farrar – using Dominic Cummings, chief adviser to the Prime Minister, as their enforcer – pushed the UK into what was hoped would become a ‘Manhattan Project’ for biodefence, with vaccines at its core.

Cummings told a Commons committee in May 2021: ‘What Bill Gates and people and Patrick Vallance and his team were saying was that the actual expected return on this is so high that even if it does turn out to be all wasted billions, it is still a good gamble in the end. All the conventional Whitehall accountancy systems for that cannot basically cope with it, and you have to throw them all down the toilet. That is, essentially, what we did.’

Jardine asked: ‘The expected return for whom exactly? The pharma companies in which Gates and his foundation were already heavily invested? The tech companies lobbying Cummings? It is now abundantly clear that the Manhattan Project for Biodefense privatised profits and socialised costs. The accepted estimate for the burden on the UK economy resulting from lockdown is £500billion.’

Readers may also remember that Vallance was a party to secret high-level talks (see here and here) organised by Farrar, director of the immensely wealthy and powerful Wellcome Foundation, which led to attempts to persuade the world that the covid virus had arisen naturally rather than through laboratory manipulation involving US and Chinese scientists, as was actually the case. The talks took place on February 1, 2020 – the day the World Health Organization declared that covid represented a global health emergency.

We now know that the cover-up extended to the Cabinet Office, purportedly because of concerns not to ‘damage national security’ by upsetting the Chinese.

Like Vallance, Farrar has been rewarded for these damaging deceptions: he is now the World Health Organization’s chief scientist.

TCW reader, Christopher Darwin, has drawn attention to two official pieces of information which bring home just how great the betrayal has been.

One is a response to a Freedom of Information request showing that in the 22 peak pandemic months from February 2020 to December 2021, fewer than 7,000 people died from SARS-COV-2 alone in England and Wales, far fewer than flu deaths in a bad year. Many more, mostly elderly, were listed as having died with the virus, simply on the basis that they tested positive for it. But there were other, quite distinct, reasons for them having died. Everyone admitted to hospital at that time was tested, regardless of whether they had any covid symptoms. So this was just another means of exaggerating the numbers – and the fear.

Just three of the 7,000 were aged under 19. By contrast, by the end of 2021, a total of 1,555 serious and fatal adverse reactions in 533 children were reported to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) by healthcare professionals concerned that the Pfizer jab may have been to blame. Thousands more were to follow. This is surely an incredible indictment of the scientists and regulators involved, putting children at unnecessary risk in this way.

The other document is a £1,500,000 MHRA contract award dated October 2020 – before the jab rollout – for an Artificial Intelligence software tool to process ‘the expected high volume of Covid-19 vaccine adverse drug reactions’. The notice added that ‘it is not possible to retrofit the MHRA’s legacy systems to handle the volume of ADRs that will be generated’.

So the ‘safe and effective’ claim, finally withdrawn earlier this year, was a lie from the start.

Many reports are available now indicating that the covid vaccines can do more harm than good. This latest, from Italy, found ‘remarkable bias’ in an original study purporting to show the jab to be effective. When corrected, the vaccinated were seen to have a higher death rate from all causes than the unvaccinated.

Christopher Darwin, meanwhile, who lives in Devon, mentions that he and his wife, both in their seventies, ‘had no jabbery and no virus. We ate our greens and drank our cider’.
