Oh great. Yet more tax. Nick Clegg has said owners of second homes in rural beauty spots should pay double the rate of council tax. Why should people pay for his government’s failure to build more houses?
Launching the party’s Countryside Charter, he said the plans would ensure local residents were not priced out of the property market. They would allow local authorities to charge 200 per cent council tax in some areas.
Why does more tax and bigger government always have to be the go to answer?
