Lefty keyboard warrior Owen Jones accused Michael Fallon of anti-semitism yesterday, after the Defence Secretary warned Ed Miliband could stab the UK in the back by negotiating with the SNP over Trident. There’s nothing anti-semitic about that.

He tweeted: “Michael Fallon’s “stabbed in the back” metaphor is deeply sinister. It is a classic anti-semitic trope.”

Mr Jones is linking Fallon’s phrase to that used in Germany after World War One. We say there is no link to be made and Mr Jones is trivialising the holocaust. He should be ashamed of himself.
