Whatever happened to the truth?

This is the first of two parts.

ALL past civilisations and religions were based on a set of rules which defined what was accepted as moral. The purpose was to encourage stability of the nation.

Western civilisation and law was based on the Judaeo-Christian Ten Commandments plus Christ’s addition of ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’. An attack on this system has been developing for the last hundred years and is now reaching a climax.

Having converted the education system from one based on cultivating intelligence and knowledge to one based on feelings and experiences, a generation of easily led and influenced young people has been created.

So now, instead of the Truth, there is only Your Truth. If Your Truth is raping and murdering young women or abusing young children, you will still be punished. So far, I don’t think you will find any activist feeling offended about this discrimination against Your Truth and campaigning for you.

If however Your Truth is imposing your gender views on the primary school children of other parents, the state will support you, thus ignoring the Truth of parents who believe this is child abuse.

If Your Truth is that sex is a meaningless physical activity, conducted in one-night stands with strangers of the opposite or same sex, you can see this represented dozens of times a day on the media. Or you may be old enough to remember the days when this was considered immoral and not a feature of a decent society.

One could go further into ‘Truths’ about racism, diversity, discrimination, climate change, inclusivity: all symptoms of the effort to divide and destroy tolerance and fairness in society. In turn these are the symptoms of the materialist creed of pursuit of money, power and debauchery. Against this is Christ’s creed (universal not a narrow religious one) of poverty, chastity and obedience. More on these in Part 2.
