Sixteen men have been jailed over the grooming and sexual abuse of Huddersfield children, it can now be reported. The abuse of the vulnerable, isolated and underage girls – the youngest of whom were 11 or 12 – was described by a judge as ‘top of the scale’.
A total of 20 men, ranging in age from 27 to 54, were convicted during three trials at Leeds Crown Court. They were found guilty of child sex offences including rape, inciting child prostitution and abduction of a child. Sentences ranged from five years to life with a minimum term of 18 years.
Some of the 15 victims were in care and some had learning disabilities. They were lured in with gifts of food, cigarettes or offers of lifts, then plied with drink and drugs.
Judge Geoffrey Marson QC, who presided over the first two trials, described the grooming as ‘insidious and persistent’ and the abuse as ‘vile and wicked’.

I have no idea if being a Muslim man of Pakistani origin makes you more or less likely to rape and traffic girls for sex any more than I know whether being a Catholic priest makes you any more or less likely to rape teenage boys. I am not a criminologist and figuring out their motivations is above my pay grade.
I do know this, though – there is good and there is evil, and all we can do is fight the evil. In fact, we have even set up what is known as a ‘police force’ to fight evil and we have an entire ‘care system’ to look after children and teenagers and protect them from evil. I would like to know about their failures in all of this. I would like to know if the great evil of political correctness motivated the police and other State authorities to look the other way while young girls were being systematically raped.
I have a few other questions that I sense are not being asked by the mainstream media because of fears about being called racist or ‘sowing division’. Questions such as: were these men born and brought up in Britain or were they part of New Labour’s immigration wave to ‘rub the Right’s nose in diversity’?
I would like to know if the British government has been complicit in the importation of men to rape and abuse working-class girls in small towns all over Britain. I’d ask Nick ‘Open Borders’ Clegg, but he is off to California to advise Facebook on how they can advocate for more open borders.
Call me crazy but I think we have enough home-grown rapists without the need of importing more.
Who funded the lifestyle of these men? Were they working and did they receive benefits of any kind? Again, call me crazy but if it turns out that not only did the British government import these rapists but they essentially funded all the raping, I’d be pretty mad. You might even call that evil.
Were any of the men married, and if so to whom and what did the women know? Did they look the other way on this?
What did all the authorities who came into contact with the victims know – the police, the care system, the ‘sexual health clinic’, the schools?
The Home Secretary Sajid Javid tweeted the following: ‘These sick Asian paedophiles are finally facing justice. I want to commend the bravery of the victims. For too long, they were ignored. Not on my watch. There will be no no-go areas.’
That’s nice tweeting but we are going to need a lot more. I’m not a huge fan of public inquiries but I think there is a justified need for one now.
Just who facilitated the systematic rape and abuse of white working-class girls for about two decades in small towns across Britain? This is the biggest scandal of our time and we deserve some answers.
