Why don’t China’s atrocities bother the woke brigade?

-

A FEW days ago the usually censorious Guardian blandly reported that British Steel was to be sold to the Chinese company Jingye, thereby saving 4,000 jobs.

It seems strange that with political parties spraying literally billions of pounds in their election promises none saw fit to find any cash to secure a vital British industry, and protect it and us from further Chinese economic colonialism and predation. It seems strange, too, that in such a self-conscious age of ‘rights’ the politically virtuous seem entirely undisturbed by the gross violations of human rights we would be supporting (as well as the active support we already give them through DfID).

Don’t the woke care?

Let me remind them why they should care and why, if they are going to get their knickers in a twist about social justice, they should focus on China’s industrial-scale human rights abuses.

In case they missed it, this week saw the full horror of China’s ‘one-child policy’ revealed. Most people have probably not thought much about how this huge nation enforced a limit of one baby per family. It was by slaughtering millions of babies after they had been born. The details of China’s Holocaust of children have emerged in a powerful documentary told by a woman whose family was one of the countless millions who suffered. You can, if you can face it, read about it here.

Nor should we be ignoring the latest revelations about China’s forced organ harvesting crimes, an industry that earns the country over $1billion per annum.*

A report published yesterday in the international journal BMC Medical Ethics, titled Analysis of official deceased organ donation data destroys credibility of China’s organ transplant reform’,provides the first scientific analysis of China’s official organ donation data. It finds that China is guilty of the ‘systematic falsification and manipulation of official organ transplant datasets’.

It’s been welcomed by the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC), the initiators of the China Tribunal which originally exposed China’s appalling and horrifying organ harvesting crimes and murder of innocent people as ‘Crimes Against Humanity’ in June 2019.

A four-page short form conclusion and the summary report of the final judgment is available here.

You can see a short film about the judgment here:

I hope the woke brigade will read it and direct their energies to protesting against Britain’s uncritical and supine surrender to Chinese economic imperialism that in turn supports the gross inhumanities perpetrated in China.

*China’s organ trade is estimated to have a market value of $1billion a year. The transplant industry has been developed on a very large scale with significant investment into hospitals, medical personnel and other infrastructure. In 2000, coinciding with the beginning of the persecution of Buddha School Falun Gong, the industry greatly expanded in activity. Vital organs became readily available within a matter of days, while reports of ‘emergency’ livers being sourced within four hours emerged. State-run hospitals and hundreds of independent websites began advertising incredibly short waiting times for transplant operations involving hearts, livers, kidneys and corneas, and the mass market sale of organs. The waiting time for transplants ranged from a matter of hours to a number of days, a timeframe which is not possible with ethical transplantation systems. From this time, global accusations began to emerge alleging that China’s organ supply for transplant operations could not possibly have been sourced purely from a legal, voluntary donation process.
