Why it’s best to keep quiet as your freedoms are taken away

Ridicule power we must. So too must we ridicule compliance and conformity. Setting the pace on this in the new Covid authoritarian world is the Texan comedian and satirist J P Sears, who goes under the handle of Awaken With JP. We showed one of his videos last July. 

This video on 12 reasons not to speak up is equally if not even more clever. It’s an acute observation and explanation of most people’s lazy collaboration with the new authoritarianism. Through his parody advice to so do and how to keep our heads below the parapet in the name of our self-interest, he leads to its logical conclusion: a future in which self-interest will count for nothing because we will have no freedom to express it.
