HOW very dare you? I mean how dare you sit there with your spare kidney when ‘people will die’. There are people out there without a kidney, who need a kidney, and you could give a living donation of your non-essential kidney and yet you refuse. You disgust me, you kidney hogger. You hoarder of kidneys. You are letting people die.
The government should implement immediate mandatory live donation of kidneys to those who need them otherwise ‘you are letting people die’. We must do ‘whatever it takes to save lives’.
That’s government policy right now brought to a logical conclusion. And I want all the so-called conservatives out there backing this ‘whatever it takes’ approach to be first in line with their spare kidney donation. You know who you are.
Oh, but that’s different, I hear you say – that’s part of my body. Yes, it is different – in a good way. At least with compulsory kidney donation you can just donate your kidney in a simple operation that will be over very quickly and you will be on your merry way.
After the operation you get your normal life back. Remember that normal life? The one where you send your kids to school, get milk in the shop and have a burger in McDonald’s whenever you damn well want? I would give my kidney tomorrow if it meant I had my liberty back.
But we won’t have that. Instead we will have a continuation of this mad hysteria, and if anyone dares object to the country being put in lockdown, stopping educating the next generation and blowing up the economy, then as usual you will be accused of ‘wanting people to die’. This is the argument the Left always use when they want to snatch your hard-earned freedoms and expand the State – if you don’t go along with what they want then you are ‘letting people die’.
Remember when that little boy was washed up on the shores of Turkey? If you didn’t support open borders then you wanted people to die. If you don’t support a universal basic income, you want people to die. If you don’t support zero carbon emissions by 2050, you want people, and all the polar bears, to die. And on and on and on it goes. It’s the ultimate win card – you want people to die.
The coronavirus is just that: a virus. It is not a war. It is a virus and it will kill people. Maybe it will kill a lot of people and we must do what we can to mitigate this within the limits that we have available but, and this is important, without surrendering hard-earned liberties to the State.
This, dear reader, I have concluded is the problem when the main conservative movement is made up of atheists. The whole point of Christian conservatism is to say, Listen, we don’t live in Eden and we certainly are not in heaven. Bad things will happen. Sometimes very bad things will happen. We will try our best to improve life for the vast majority of people and lessen hardship when disaster strikes. But there are limits. We are not immortal. There are certain values that are non-negotiable such as but not limited to the freedom to live your life in a law-abiding fashion without being put under house arrest for an indefinite period of time. I thought that two World Wars later this was a given. But it seems not.
So off they go – the hysterical ‘whatever it takers’ essentially giving our liberty away and surrendering to every single Leftist wish list in about three weeks flat. Within a month we will probably have a universal basic income, a nationalised economy and curfews. You read it here first. I warned you. Barely a single conservative raised a single objection. We did.
Now, go donate your kidney, only you can’t because ‘living donation’ is probably a non-urgent operation these days. Lucky you.
